2) Place it on the finger you want to size. Slide the loop over your finger and position it where a ring would normally sit.
3) Tighten gently. Pull the end of the strip until it feels snug but not tight. It should be able to slip back over your knuckle with a little resistance.
4) Check the fit of the ring sizer. You want it to feel comfortable, not loose. Try moving your finger or slightly flexing it to ensure it’s not too tight.
5) Read the size. Look at the number that lines up with the arrow or indicator on the sizer. That number is your ring size (e.g., size 6.5).
6) Double-check for accuracy. Use the ring sizer to measure a couple of times, ideally at different times of day (fingers can swell slightly with heat or activity). If you’re between sizes, go slightly larger for comfort.
– Measure at room temperature (fingers shrink in cold, swell in heat).
– The dominant hand’s fingers are often slightly larger.
– If you’re buying a wide band (over 6mm), you might need to size up by about half a size.
– If your knuckle is wide, measure both the knuckle and the base of the finger. Choose a size in between those measurements as rings need to fit over the knuckle.
